SRU Media Breakdown Proposal

Slippery Rock University is home to three media outlets and I'd argue that many students don't consume the content that is produced.
We have WSRU-TV, who produce high quality news packages and upload them to a YouTube page. Currently the account has 330 subscribers and on average most videos posted garner under 50 views. However, with that being said I believe that the studio has the potential to reach a much wider audience.
Also on campus is The Rocket, who put out a weekly newspaper that highlights some of the most important things around campus. It's widely accredited but I often see print editions sitting in piles around campus.
Lastly we have WSRU-FM, the on-campus radio station. As of right now, it's hard to track how many listeners are tuned in at any point in time. The station offers a wide variety of music and programming that the community of Slippery Rock could enjoy.
I plan on piecing together a video highlighting each respective work space and linking in interviews with student-workers as well as photos showing off some of the content produced. In order to produce this ThingLink, I can contact advisers for each of the organizations, Dr. Sparrow for WSRU-FM, and Dr. Fleming for both WSRU-TV and The Rocket.
I think this project would show off some of the content that SRU students work so hard to create and could benefit each organization greatly.
