I checked out North Country Cannery's weekly Yappy Hour special and got some interviews with a few people involved with the event.
Here's one with Jeff Thompson, brewer for the Cannery, explaining how Yappy Hour came about.

Yappy Hour at the Cannery also hosts an array of games and activities such as pool or cornhole. Here's a video of Richard Gio and Austin Goheen playing a round.
